NanoCharm organizes the European Workshop for researchers from academia and industry interested in biomedical applications of ellipsometry and polarimetry.

Topics include:

  • ellipsometric and polarimetric imaging for medical diagnostics, both at the microscopic scale (biochips, histological slides) and macroscopic scale (in vivo and ex vivo tissues and organs)
  • ellipsometric and polarimetric studies of natural photonic structures (physical colours of insects)
other optical techniques involving polarization (PS-OCT, nonlinear optics imaging).
