OMNI-NET's key objectives are:
  • to identify and share best cluster practices
  • to formulate a basic set of methodologies and disseminate it to other clusters
  • to prepare a trans-regional network of clusters (metacluster) in order to identify and  prepare strategic projects based on common needs for European cooperation on specific innovation themes
  • to make policy recommendations to the EC and regional policy makers based on the project outcome

Planned actions:
  • analysis of OMNI-NET's 6 mature clusters and their regional economic systems
  • exchange of knowledge and best practice
  • identifying future joint projects and strategies
  • methodology
  • dissemination and exploitation

OptoNet's contribution:
OptoNet will contribute knowledge resulting from seven years of network experience. Furthermore, OptoNet is responsible for developing a strategy and detailed plan for the internal exploitation of OMNI-NET results and experiences during and beyond the project.
